“As I was tuning up the guitar it seemed fairly normal and then I strummed it when it was up to final pitch.  Wow!  My brother-in-law has a Tesla and the first time he "punched" the gas and the acceleration was incredible.  That's the best analogy I can come up with for the volume the guitar exhibites.  I never have had a guitar that is so easily capable of such a huge sound envelope.  I doubt I'll ever need such volume but it sure is nice that it's there!  The sustain is also incredible. Bravo. I feel I could strum a chord, go to the bathroom and the guitar would still be ringing when I came back. Impressive. The action is amazing throughout the fingerboard. It's just so easy to play and so responsive to the touch. The bass is big but not overwhelming as it can be. The trebles are fat and lush. It's just such a balanced sounding instrument. Well done.

Will McNicol released a duet video with Sönke Meinen.  So I listened to several of Sönke's songs.  Many of them are not to my liking but I've been preparing one of his songs, Komorebi, for my lesson with Will this week.  The tuning is CGDGBE.  So I lowered our guitar to that tuning and the fan fret, which I hardly notice (again, Bravo), handles the low C incredibly well.  Next, I put it in dropped D and played one of my all time favorites, The Hermit by John Renbourn.  The key to this song are the harmonics and our guitar, again, demonstrated what it is capable of.  The harmonics are loud, clear and easy to get. I expected the 12th, 7th and 5th harmonics would be easy to hit but I'm impressed with being able to get the harmonics at the 4th and 3rd fret so easily.

The guitar is simply gorgeous.  The rosette looks better in person.  I love everything about it.  The sound is lovely and I know it will only get better.  Thank you, thank you, thank you (did I say thank you yet?) for crafting such an extraordinary instrument.  This truly is a keeper.”
